I need to ask how long the new one is warranted for. The first one lasted 9 years and 105000 miles. I bought it last August with 86000 on it and then started doing Uber P/T to keep myself busy. So I put 30,000 miles on it in 11 months. I am just glad I jumped on this. It started whining 2 weeks ago. The guy said it would be toast real soon. I got to say the 2017 they rented for me is sweet. Back up camera side warning stuff. It seems bigger also.rowlands57 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:41 pmI am very happy to hear that. I strongly suggest that you add an external cooler when you do get it back. Without the additional cooling I suspect that it's just a matter of time before the new transmission becomes a "whiner" again. I base that on my own experience and the amount of other info about this shared by many other Nissan CVT owners in vehicles without sufficient cooling.

If they did install that for you then that's excellent news. Congratulations on getting this done and saving some serious cash!
the exact wording is.... jdo11a combination water cooled cvt oil coolerrowlands57 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 9:14 pmI cannot see the image as it says to upgrade account for hosting images.... I have heard that lots of folks are now having an issue with Photobucket in this regard. They have broken a lot of forum images from what I hear.
Regardless, the Rogue retro-fit cooler kit is a few different parts listed as one single part number as I recall. It includes a front mounted cooler and a new block on the transmission to allow the fluid to be passed up to the new cooler. It's not cheap either so I was surprised to hear that they 'gave' you one. If they don't list the parts separately you do not have the cooler. It would be easy to check as you would have a new 'mini radiator' mounted behind your grill with two lines for the fluid running back to the transmission.
If that is not installed I would go aftermarket and put your own on there. I really think that without this precaution the new unit is destined to fail as well. Maybe it would take a long time, maybe not....
