I was wondering if u guys could help me out and letting me know whats the good and bad things about this car . what the cost to maintain the car? has anyone had bad problems with the car? If you guys could help me out with this it would be great It could make me buy 1st car and make it an g35

keep in mind that most of the responses in a G35 forum will be biased towards the G35. additionally, some folks will tell you to simply search the forums for problems and brake issues, and so on. so it is important to do your own research (as well as asking current owners).

now, having said that, most folks here will tell you that the model year with the fewest problems (or most corrected problems) will be 2005 and newer.

maintainence cost is really no different than any other foreign luxury car. the key difference between the "X" and non-X is AWD. X meaning AWD. so if you live in area that gets snow, I would certainly consider getting the X.

the biggest con you will see if this car is MPG. given that the car has 280 HP, that is the trade off.

other than, there is very little other to frown about this car. they handle great, accelerate very well (just smoked an Audi A4 this morning), and ride very comfortably.

if you want an unbiased review of the G35 (including pros v. cons), check out autos.msn.com.

Are you thinking to get a 1st gen or the second gen G35X? What year you are aiming for?

Welcome to Nico!!! Love the G35's !! Wish I had bought an X sedan.

If I were getting a used G35X I would invest in a Nissan backed extended warranty. Can get one on the internet or your local Nissan dealer.Unless you have the means to perform most any kind of repair. In my case, I do, but I am getting lazy in my old age!!!

yeah the only thing is the brakes... and other small stuff with the 2003-2004... i have an 2005 g35x but it has the 03-04 brakes while the stopping power is great.. it produces a lot of brake dust... just change the pads to a "dust less" type and problem sovled...

+1

get 2005 or better and remember the 05 g35x has the 03-04 brakes...

I love my X.

2 cars not a single issue other than replaced the front grill. I did beat really hard on my 07 since day 1( no break in period on that) and it took it like a champ. I am lighter a bit on my 08. I can't really say any cons about it. If you drive it normally you get good milage too. Hack my wife is capable to drive it in D and the transmission shifts around 1800 rpm. It only goes up about 300 rpm and shifts to next gears. I tried to do it and I can't. It shift for me a lot higher. A lot lot higher and sounds really good. LOL

Need some money to do that at the moment. Its value goes down as the others are going up.

I haven't had any problems with my 05 coupe. The VQ engine is one of the best in the world. I would get the newest year you can afford. The 07 sedans got a really nice update for the engine and the interior.
