privacy cover fix

ok so a friend of mine went to the junk yard the other day and was kind enough to bring me back a privacy cover for my hatch



and unfortunately it has holes cut in it from 6x9" but i was wondering if anyone has ever tried to fill the holes and cover it back up. i know i could just get some fabric and cover the whole top. but i would like to do something to help reinforce the hole. any previous experience and ideas are welcome

yeah, i see these privacy covers being sold occasionally every now and then on the classifieds for super cheap. Otherwise, just toss some fabric over it and call it a day
