Will LED headlights be the next must have in thing? I have an LED flashlight that uses 7 LEDs and is pretty powerful for a flashlight, but I am guessing if a headlight used the same kind of LEDs it would need ten times as many.

From what I know Osram is trying to develop this technology to the point where it can be used as the main driving light.

On a side note, Why did you decide to post this in the VIP sub-forum?

probably got dumped from another section.

the ls600 led's are pretty much THE retrofit in japan right now. personally i'm not a fan and think retros in general are way too imperfect.

the leds in headlights are much stronger than the more common leds. i'm not sure exactly what they use but i'm sure it is a powerful single led rather than multiple smaller ones.

You're probably right. "Since it's not stock it must be VIP." People are funny.

I still have mixed feelings about LED's as actual headlights. Imagine what people will do with them. If some people hate/complain about HID's, just wait.
