I had less than an enthusiastic response while posting this on the "Infinit Online Mechanic" section, so I'm going to give this a try here. This may be a repeat to some, so I apologize, however I'd like to get an idea of my priorities soon.

This is my AGGRESSIVE schedule to get my Q back to original spec (thanks to all the informative NICO threads). Like many others on this board, I don't have enough greens to fix everything up all at once so this will be an ongoing project. However I do want to ask for your suggestion on what I should focus on first? Also, do I have all the parts required? And what jobs should I lump together to save labor cost?

Q45tech - If you happen to run across this thread, could you please weigh in on the cost that T3 would charge for labor on each job or combined job that makes the most sense (cents as well for that matter)? Unfortunately I won't be able to drive to the midwest for the service, however I do like to know some numbers for comparison shopping purposes.

I'll be ordering the parts and have it ship directly to the shop of my choice, but am I ordering any unneccessary parts (yes, I'm concern about budgeting just like the rest of us)? These parts were compiled from the various NICO threads, so I hope it's exactly what I need and nothing more (or less). Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Btw, most of the part quotes are provided by Everything...thanks Joe!

Lets see, in this order, I would do:

-Guides (duh duh)-Water pump-fluids (oil, coolant, rear diff, transmission, etc). Change the transmission filter while your at it.-Plenum (do injectors at the same time).. Btw you need to use my hose list for the underplenum job, Joes "kit" only includes about half of what you need (only PCV hoses, no air or water hoses)- suspension

Then you can do the rest of the nonessential stuff, like brake fluid flush, fuel rail flush (not necessary if your replacing all injectores), etc.....

However I have a few notes... Theres no need to have ALL the injectors replaced unless your a perfectionist. If they all ohm good and are quiet, then that seems like a monotonous cost, IMHO......

Ill try and give you the best labor quotes I can give (ill give you hourage as best I can)

- Guides- $1000 at T3- water pump- 3 hours (it only took me about an hour or so to do the Tstat, great time to do a coolant flush at the same time)- plenum- can vary depending on what happens, as I learned for an experienced tech or someone whos done it before its not so much getting the plenum off as its maneuvering around under there. Id say $2000 worst case everything (edited), assuming everything is replaced.....- spark plugs is about 3-4 hours labor- Suspension- Cost me $1200 to do everything you mentioned except for the rack rebuild...- All your "tuneup" items are easy things.....- Maintenance- Rail flush is about $100, brake fluid flush is a DIY item with a hand bleeder, PS flush is a DIY item (cost of ATF), rear diff fluid is DIY if you have a pump ($10 for fluid)

transmission mounts and motor mounts are bigger ticket items, the engine has to lifted to replace the mounts.....

Atlanta independent prices:Labor on plenum hoses is 7 book hours plus another hour if ks and harness is replaced if it is a tracton/active Q then add another hour. The rail is removed to change fuel hoses so each injector with orings say 20 minutes each but no more than 2 hours for all 8 injectors.

Therefore 10-11 hours for everything under plenum in the worst case.

Wes/Jesda - When I click on "Click here for parts list and connection points diagram" in the Plenum write-up, it directs me to a BAD REQUEST error message/site. Could you let me know when that will be fixed?

In the meantime, here is and old list. I think it is for later G50, so you may want to check the parts list with Joe for your year:

Here is my 'hose order'. (with knock sensors and harness thrown in for good measure.)There was a chain/guides order (and another few) but thats a diff story...

These are the exact terminology used by infiniti (useless, eh?) You'll need 8 of the manifold gaskets, and two knock sensors.

Total on hoses was around $370.

SENSOR ASSY-KNOCK 22060-30P00HARNESS-ENGINE SUB 24079-60U00

Heater Core Code Turn ignition on, press HVAC off button within 10 sec and hold for 5 sec, press hot 3 times, press defrost 2 times, display should read 43, wait 10 sec before turning ignition off. Good luck!

I appreciate the feedback guys.

Thanks for fixing the link Wes...that's a great write up on the plenum job. I'll have to ask Joe if the plenum kit includes all the parts outlined. I did notice, however, that you're missing two parts Maxnix included, which are:

HOSE-BLOW BY,A 11823-60U63HOSE-BLOW BY,A 11826-60U11

Does that need to be order as well, just in case?

My other question is more related to terminology than anything else. Wondering if you can help me straighten it out?1) SENSOR ASSY-KNOCK 22060-30P00 <= is this referring to the knock sensor you supply?2) HARNESS-ENGINE SUB 24079-60U00 <= is this referring to the injector / knock sensor harness?

1. Yes, that is correct.. it is just the black puck (sensor)

2. Yes, but its connects the knock sensors and the temp sensor... Thats it.....
