Priming Fuel Pump

On an s13, shouldnt the fuel pump still prime on the "on" position without the ecu hooked up?

nope, the fuel pump signal goes through the ecu. it needs to be hooked up.

From the wiring schematics if I read it right, when you turn to "ON" it sends a signal to the ECU which than the ECU sends that signal to the Fuel Pump relay, when the ECU doesnt sense any RPM's it shuts off the fuel pump.
