Did a search but couldn't find the reference for which I was looking.

Seems one of the primary O2 sensors has failed on my wife's 2K Q45 (VH41DE).

1. Who has the best price for OEM quality ones with the appropriate leads?

2. Should both primary ones be replaced at the same time to maintain similar performance characteristics?

3. Can anyone verify the correct part numbers for the primary sensors?

Thanks.

Here's the story.

Bank 2 Secondary Oxygen Sensor failed. Nissan part number 22691 6P 600 ($103 form Joe). Each of the four sensors has a different part number.

http://www.ngk.com (through a Google search link) lists three OEM sensors and a universal. They are:

NGK OE identical O2 sensor 24018 $75.85 NGK OE identical O2 sensor 24154 $44.85 NGK OE identical O2 sensor 24157 $59.85 NGK Universal O2 Sensor 21026 $44.85

Upon calling NGK (all the technical people are at a convention today!), the part number for the correct NTK rear sensor is 24545 (Primary Sensor part number is 24615). Monarch (the distributor at ngk.com and sparkplugs.com) is out.

No mail from Wes, yet.

The Q45.org SMTP server has been flakey the past few months. I dont know what the deal is. I just use the server provided by my ISP (SBC).

The secondary O2s have no impact on performance. They're just emission nazi sensors so the ECU can compare the readings before and after the cat to tell how well the cat's working. I wouldn't replace both except for might-as-well reasoning if they're high mileage and depending on how easy they are to get to. I thought all sensors were the same and only had harness diffrences, but with a $16 difference I'm not so sure. They're all heated, right?

I think you are correct, but it's impossible to tell which is which from the websites. Joe had it on the shelf for the Infiniti price.
