prices and places to get ka engines...

i'm new here and i have a few questions, what are some of the prices of KA engines? preferably the de. where can i get them, i'm here in southern cali and the only place i know is a place called soshin usa, reputable place i hear from another forum i'm in. and i also wanna know if it's possible to swap a SR20DET legally, like with egr stuff and all. or if it's possible to swap a N/A SR20DE RWD in a 240 with egr stuff

you can get them from ppl parting their cars all the time. Just have to wait it out. They go anywhere from free - $500 - $2000 built (check out one of the guys selling his right now for about $2000 shipped super built).

sr20 legal - not likely - engine never available in US so not legal. furthermore in Cali w/ even more stringent restrictions. Unless you feel like spending about $30k to legalize something (which is still iffy, I've heard of a few skylines that were suppose to be US legal), it's unlikely to happen.

You can swap in a de legally, if you keep all emissions.

2 other options:1) Become a police officer, then you can do whatever you want to your car

2) Join the military, you are allowed to bring back a vehicle from another country legally w/ you (from what I've heard from a few of the military guys)
