okay i have a 95 240 with a motor that has about 95k miles on it, i want to rebuild it before i turbo it so it can handle more boost, now my dad can rebuild the motor for me, dont know about wiring and **** but, i need to know what i should buy for it to make the motor a bit more durable and able to handle more boost, like not just what parts, but a price estimate would be nice? i really apreciate it, im running all bolt-on's atm and it runs great i just want to step it up a notch ya know?

hwo much boost u plan on runnin??? if uve never turboed the car before id say forget bout the internals...ull have plenty of fun at 10psi on a nice sized turbo on the S chassis....the stock bottom end can handle about 15psi on a good tune like Enthalpy or JWT which is roughly 350hp...that is more than enough if uve never really done any major modifications to your car...

but if u still want to build the bottom end... the main things youll need are Pistons, Rods, Rings, Bearings, and gaskets....should run ya 2500 or so...Id go with the turbo240 group buy..its a great deal for everything ull need

Depends on how much you are looking to boost. <300hp (I say 300 to be extra safe, I know stock internals can handle around and above 350hp.) I did a basic rebuild, cost me about $400 all together including timing, gaskets, hg, etc.. for boost id reccomend a metal HG (cometic is good) arp head studs and main studs plus the basic gaskets, pistons rings, and of course, cleavite bearings. Should run you around $700ish with that build. There isnt a need for pistons or rods unless you either have a lot of money to spend or want a mean boosting motor. If you are planning on changing them in the future, however, now is the time since theres no reason to tear the motor down twice. Hope the advice helps.
