Hi. I have the chance to buy a 2002 i qx4, mint condition New tires and new belts and 38,000 original miles. No accidents and one owner. Private sale. I have seen pictures but it is quite a distance from me. I was not planning on buying this or another Pathfinder this soon, as we just bought the 04 Path LE. Was suppose to be for my son who will be driving next month but me (mom) have fallen in love with it and want one for myself. The one i got my so. Has 100,000 on it but mint and was well maintained. This one the qx4 seems like a dream with such low miles and in the condition it appears to be in. My question is what kind of price should I expect to pay? We paid $8000 for our 04, I thought I got a good deal considering it was top of the line, and seriously looks brand new and had a lot of replacement parts including top of the line $1000 worth of new tires, new muffler and exhaust and a lot of other maintenance items. Honestly not sure if I over paid for the 04 we just bought our son, but would like to get input on price for this qx4 before I go look. Hoping I can swing the dollar this soon. So again. It is a 2002 qx4 with 38,000 original miles, one owner, no accidents, mint, two tone color. Woman said she and her husband have two mustangs and only used this for their trips back and forth to Florida. They are young seniors mid 60's. they are asking juat under $10,000 for it. Just do not know. Can any of you more knowledgable people help me out with price so I don't over pay. That is to say if I can even swing it right now. Thanks. Elaine

KBB value is around $11,400 for the vehicle so $10,000 is a good price for it, in my opinion.

Even though it is very low mileage, you should count on every mainance fluid, belts ect needing to be replaced. I would use that as negotiation point.

I would ask for closeup pictures of the areas behind the front wheel struts before investing effort into this... a lot of qx4's rusted away badly there and in Florida everything rusts very well.

Also invest in a OBDII reader of some type so you can verify the Engine CPU had not been recently reset.. I learned my lesson on my purchase as well as I have seen lots of other people on this site who suddenly get the check engine light before they even have to do the first fillup
