That's how they get you with trades. They take the price down a lot on the car knowing they are going to make up for it by giving you less for the traderebound2 wrote:2014 SL with all options including rear lifgate chrome trim, floormats except Homelink Mirror - paid $29,840 so around 3 thousand off MSRP. However they low balled me on my trade - a 2008 Maxima SL with 97K miles at $8900 the final figure and negotiating was like talking to the wall. A-holes!

Honestly a good deal is anything you feel good about when you purchase it. If you feel even the slightest bit of apprehension or think anything is a deal breaker just walk because you will likely think about that unsatisfying moment quite a bit while owning the vehicle, but if you're happy with your price and monthly payment regardless of what anyone else got on an Internet forum then that is a good deal.nissanfourlife wrote:Hey all.......diet coke... A local dealer sold me a graphite blue 2014 SL AWD Rogue for $31,062 out-the-door (incl. 6% sales tax, title, tags, destination, etc.) The car came w/ a few add-ons (cargo cover, splash guards, and floormats). Interestingly, the total MSRP on the sticker (incl. dest) was $31,060. I paid the $300 dealer admin. fee (yeah, I know), but I felt the overall price was completely fair. Especially since they didn't make any money on the back end because I had my own credit union financing lined up. I had tried earlier to buy at another dealer and $31,500 OTD was as low as they would go on a silver one spec'd out exactly the same.
