Im looking into pulling a z31 turbo from a junked car at a yard, and I was wondering how much anyone else paid? including the downpipe, and exh manifold as well? Im thinking about making my own downpipe and manifold. Ive been going to this one place recently and the guy there asks me how much I want to pay for stuff, then accepts or rejects it. I was wondering so that i could get a ballpark estimate of what they are going for. Ive looked at car-part.com and found them to be about 100-200 bucks pulled from the cars. although 100 bucks is great for a working turbo, I was just curious so that I could make a good offer.

Thanks, Steve

i doubt you'll be able to find a working turbo. you could probably find a T3 for 200 bucks, and then get it rebuilt for another 200. might as well get a better turbo than a T3 for a couple hundred more.

i found one at a local pick a part called " steal a part" hahaha, seriously though its called Steal-A-Part. They have a z31 turbo and quoted me $40 if i pick it myself. i haven't gone back to get it, the last time i was there i picked up a starion ic and told them it was the radiator and only paid $30. its in mint condition too :D

I paid $75 from a local guy I found on a 300ZX online classified ad. I got the turbo, exhaust outlet, and all the oil and water lines with it. It works great with my KA, builds boost just fine, and I didn't even rebuild it.
