Lol I dont think thats correct. There is no way they would get 100k for a 2011 subaru with 10k on the clock. I dont care what is done to it. I dont even think Russel at Z1 would get 100k from his 1000hp z32.

Any normally adjusted person would see that but I have met more than a few Subie guys (and Evo guys for that matter) that think their cars are worth waaaay more than they actually are, I am hoping this was a mistake although I have seen $20k+ asked for bugeye (02-03) WRX with 6 figures on the clock just because they are extremely clean.

Agreed, but 20k is far from 100k haha.

20K for a car whose book value is ~$6k (asking price 333% of value) is directly comparable to 100k for a car worth roughly 30 (asking price 333% of actual value). its just ridiculous.

Yes that is completely ridiculous. As we all know, however, book value doesn't mean squat... book value on my z32 is around 7k... in clean factory condition... however I'm pretty confident I could get around 20k for it. Of course I know that when modding cars, one will never see what they put into it, but at 20k... that's about 40% of what I have invested. For 100k, I better get the fastest subi out there with a whiskey dispenser and some crystal glassware!

That's understandable, but there is such a thing as being realistic, and book value establishes a "realism bracket" where if the book is 10 you shouldn't be asking 30. You know damn well that most Zs couldn't pull $20k, I know I couldn't pull that for mine, even though mine has that in parts alone (working on getting the thing aesthetically pristine then it might). Some people don't live on this earth though when it comes to car pricing.
