hi, i'm new to this forum, 240's, and imports in general so please bear w/ me. i just wrecked my car and i'm looking to get a new one and i'm seriously thinking about 95-98 240. i was wondering how much it would cost to have a shop swap the s14 sr20det and esp if anyone knows any shops in florida. it would be a great help so i could figure out if this is possible w/ my budget.

There was this guy on this site when I joined who claimed he could get motors cheap and he was in Florida. But I would recommend Unstable Hybrids if you want a close shop they are in Atlanta. Or Dauntless has good motors in Iowa or Heavy Throttle in NY.http://www.unstable-hybrids.com

I forgot Daunttless's site but its posted on all of his posts which are many so you can get it there.

My price from Iowa to Florida will still be cheaper than Georgia to Florida. : )

Another guy you might want to look into getting your motor from is Joel Burke, he's in Atlanta, used to import all the engines for Unstable, doesn't anymore. He's a great guy, his price is only 2300 for a redtop, don't know about the blacktop but it should be reasonably priced. He can be found at Chris May's site, http://www.executivecleancar.com

If you want any further information, I'd be happy to help out. Thats all I know about him, but I mean information about me. : ) Hehe.

Oh, and my S14 is 3200 dollars, my installation on it is 1000, but if you just wanted it shipped to you it would be sub 3500 dollars. : ) Probably like 3400 or so.

Enjoy your day!
