Hi reader(s),

Today we can go back for picking up our car after a simple cheque up.It is a Nissan Tiida. It normally cost 800 mexican pesos. We got the news that the brakes were ruined.I suppose they changed the booster brake?I wanted to know for the price of this piece? They suddenly ask us 3000 pesos for paying and it is a VERY big difference. Now I wanted to know if it is really normal to be so expensive, or are they sucking money out of us?

Hope for a very fast respond! Thanks a lot!

the brake booster is a vaccum assist that makes it easier to push the brakes, without the booster it would take a great deal of effort to stop. it is another part from changing the brakes, so i would think it would cost a little more, but i am not sure how much.

hope this helps

Your best bet is to get a 2nd or 3rd local quote since Nissan has a 4 tier world wide parts pricing...............in US it would cost 2 times more for part. I'm not sure how Mexico fits but it varies by local income level.Peso ~~= 13.5 per dollar so 3000P = $220US$220 is very very cheap for a vacuum booster in US.

Just for our education what is local labor rate per hour in Peso's?

Probably made in Mexico for Nissan
