Hey for my birthday and christmas in the next two weeks i want to buy the stillen lip kit for the coupe but i was just wondering how much i should pay for painting and installation? i asked a few local places but they said they cant give me an estimate unless i show them the kit in person, but i dont want to buy the kit and then not have enough money for everything else, so some help would be appreciated. If you dont mind telling, how much did you guys pay for painting and installation if you let a shop do it?

thanks guys

Listen, INSTALL it yourself. TRUST ME its extremely easy... literally took me like 1 minute and bam its done. You'll see when you get it in person.

And as for paint, it comes in a dull black which I drove around for a quite a while, since I have a black coupe.. until I decided to paint it, I got it painted for 180.

BUT I felt like I got ripped off because one of my homeboys said I could of got it painted for a straight 100. If they charge you over 180 go somewhere else.

GOODLUCK and please post pictures of the new mod!

What about getting it done at the stealerships? I know they will most likely charge up the a** for it, but alot of people have been saying its hard to get the paint to match the factory color. I think Ricko should have some input on this one.

spend the extra money and get it painted by the dealer or at a place the dealer recommends. For an ED rear bumper it runs about 700-800. just the front lip, maybe 200-400. Pay the high price and get high quality work. Do not skimp out on paint. Trust me, I learned the hard way. Just cough up the money early and get it done right the first time by someone who know what they are doing.

Please please please just do it right the first time. I am officially warning you!

It depends where you live i guess. Down here in the DFW TX area there are a lot of paint shops meaning a lot of competition. 3 years ago when i ordered my wings west lip kit from this authorized paint shop, he painted the 4 pieces for 100 each. He did a great job and i made sure he used the right paint for my polyurethane WW lip kit

exactly I live in texas too, and your right there are a lot of shops around here.. meaning that they will give you crazy good prices just to have your car done by their shop.

and when I said 100. read what I said, my friend OWNS a shop, meaning his dad was going to charge me a straight $100 to get my lip painted. But like I said I paid $180 and they did a very good job. My car is superblack so I have nothing to complain about.

were painting a small skinny body piece... NOT an entire bumper, that has one of the easiest color to match, black.

180?? thats steep. Black should be one of the cheapest paints due to the fact every shop has black

haha seriously thats what I been trying to say, its a black lip he wants to get painted. It shouldn't cost that much, around 100+ no more than 200, Me and Johnny live in Texas, so maybe Florida prices are different, who knows! we'll see when he gets it painted.
