Looking to grab my first Hardbody and scratch it off my vehicle bucket list(don't know why it's there in the first place lol)

What's a fair price for one of these taking into account the usual condition of a vehicle of this vintage?
How is it at "towing"? I have a 4'x8' harbor freight trailer id likely also pull with this.

Thanks all!

IMO, Condition and Mileage to me are more important than the Year, but the Year also has it's bearing of importance as well.

Go to http://www.kbb.com/, put in all the pertinent information and it'll tell you what the going price is in your neighborhood.

Verify what other's are listing for the same model truck on Auto Trader.

I had a '93 Nissan Truck 4 cyl, AT, that I pulled a 5'X10' single axle trailer with,, and as long as the tailgate was left off,, it pulled pretty good,, so a 4 or 6 cyl,, should pull your 4 x 8 good.

I was surprised at the value KBB gave me for my '93. I verified the price on AutoTrader,, and was amazed that mine got 4K. Probly could have gotten more. The First Person that came and looked at it,, bought it. 20 year's old, with 176K miles,, and it sold, like it had Wing's Fast.

Good Luck

Yeah I have been searching on eBay, KBB, NADA, Edmunds, etc and also was surprised by the prices I was seeing. Most seem to be $2k and up, but there are a few trucks I may see pop up where the seller is asking $1500 or less. Wasn't sure if there was a particular "version" or trim level that made it unpopular than others, justifying a lower selling point.

It took years for KBB to reflect the right market value of Supras, wasn't sure if the guides were accurate or not :-)

I was skeptical of KBB's price too. So I went to AutoTrader.com to verify what other's were selling their HardBodie's for.

I called a few of the seller's to see if they would come down. Not much is what I got.

Before I checked with KBB, I had been willing to let mine go for 3K. The Dealer that I bought my '13 from, offered me 2500. I said if you can go 3K, I'll do it. He said no,, so I brought both Truck's home.

The rest is History.

They pay good money for Nissan Truck's that are taken good care of, and I'm sure glad that they do, cause I need all I can get, when it come's time to sell.

Good Luck

Somehow, I missed that KBB doesn't go past 20 year's. My '93,, was right @ 20 year's, when I looked it up.

So for a Truck over 20 year's,, you'll need to go to other site's, and again Site's that are listing Nissan Truck's for sale to judge how much other's are listing them for.

One interesting thing that I saw on KBB,, that doesn't make sense.

They valuated my '93 Nissan KC, At, 2wd, 4cyl, way more than a '94 that was basically the same Truck. Same Body Style, Same Engine, Same Transmission, etc etc.

I'm not complaining, cause I got what I thought my '93 was worth. But a '94 IMO should be worth about the same @ 20 year's old.

I guess that's why they only go to 20 year's, to cover their Rear End's.

Good Luck
