some may remember that i had a boost prob and a tap noise a couple weeks back, it turns out that my spark plug for the #3 cyolinder keeps working its way out, and i tourqued it pretty good. anyone had this problem? i know i can either get amother head or redo the threads, any other options?

Well......are the threads stripped out? dont muscle tork the hell outta it. If the threads aren't stripped than thats good. But if they aren't stripped and the plug keeps coming out then something wierd is def wrong. I wouldnt recommend using lock tight but I would try something.

Its time for you to get a torque wrench and quit guessing.

What are the torque specs for the spark plugs?

14.75122 ft/lbs to 21.38927 ft/lbs

I find it hard to torque spark plugs due to the low torque value and I only have a 1/2" drive wrench. It would probably be better to do it with a small wrench.

well thanks for restating what i said mojo, but yea the threads are bad, i called the shop that i got the clip from and they said that they would give me a new head to put on, so guess what i get to do next week? buy a new head gasket and other ish and replace the head, i love cars. i talked to nistech and he thought i could retap the hole and put new threads in bla bla bla, but if i can get a new head-thats the way to go for longevity of the motor. well...problem solved i guess :(
