I'll tell you what i did. First off you want to get your car breating better. What kinda $ are you looking at?-1st. exhaust ($invidia has theirs for $585?) I went w/ stillen. Great #'s from thier's.-headers (stillen) makes real nice gains once again.-cold air intake $300-$400(unless going forced)-plenum $300

I tell you what. I went w/ this so far in the past 3 years because i'm not rich and wanted the most i could get for the $.-stillen exhaust-vortech (supercharger 3.12 pulley)I'm sitting at 370 rwh / 309 rwt at 9psiI have not been beaten by a stock evo or sti yet.I've tracked it 5 times. stock tires, etc.spun 1st and part of second and ran a 12.9 @ 111mph.Now i'm a rookie racer, and have never raced from a stand still till i went to the track.1st run was like 13.5-2nd 13.5-3rd 13.1?-4th 13.4-5th 12.9 @ 111mph It was also alot colder at that time also.I have other stuff in the works right now.-meth injection-1 step colder plugs-plenum-headersetc.

Yeah one of the first things you'll want to do is exhaust and intake, more air flow more power. Your going to want to stick with the items already out there, no custom stuff. If you are on a budget, a quick upgrade for some power is the JWT pop-charger intake. Runs about $125 (at the most) for some noticeable power gains. There is a lot of cold air intake kits out there that are all about equal, so take your pick, will run you up to $300. A plenum or plenum spacer is going to run you up to $300 as well. Cat Back exhaust- also a lot of these out there, depends on what you like or what sounds good to you ($500-$$$$$$). High flow cat's or test pipes are also an option.

I went with (so far).- injen CAI $265- Helux throttle body spacer ~ $100- Kinetix Racing plenum $300- invidia N1 cat back $780 (at the time)- Pro-1 short shifter (knock off B&M) $75

there are also short ram intakes, that are a little cheaper than the cold air ones, and are good, but colder air is always better.

depends on how fast is fast enough, turbo will be the largest single power adder, figure otu how fast or how much power you want then we can better tell you how to reach that goal

What is your budget? Money talks. If you don't have the money, you shouldn't talk.

Remember when you are racing AWDs, they will almost always get you at the launch, it's when you get going that you catch up work on your launch technique so you don't get burned at the start.

You can always make your car go faster and handle better with out spending money, you can start stripping the car

Having a lighter car is always a good start to making your car faster.

YES!.... +1..... question on that, what all should be considered in weight reduction as far as not spending a lot if any money. I did a rear wiper delete (maybe 5 lbs.) the plugs i got on e-bay cost me like $30, don't buy them you could make them, the picture looked better than they were! Also went with a lighter, bigger plenum instead of adding weight with a spacer (maybe 3 lbs.)

i am going to start a thread on weight reduction for people to add their thoughts and idea's, questions and things they have done for weight reduction. From removing the spare to full carbon fiber. (look for it).
