Im a frequent at w webmaster board and one of the other members does work in photoshop, i asked him if he wouldnt mind doing one of my car and he did! it came out lookin really cool.. check it out.. here is the pic he used...

Hm...is that the final piece? Also coud you find out what program he uses? Thanks. Gradients can make some nice looking cars...I'll have to try it sometime.

i have a super street poster art poster of a dodge srt and it looks so real.

i only found out that the car was a drawing today by noticing that there were no door handles

i think it by someone named shi or shu

you can just build that in illustrator. i've done work similar to this (not cars tho). All you do is import the image file, fade it a little bit, lock the layer, make a new layer, then start "tracing the essential outlines.

Of course, the guy who did the 240 up there had an "eye" for how to split up the color, etc. But you don't need a "special" program to do it. Most people use either illustrator or some other vector based program.
