I wouldnt go with 3.8 gearing unless you were high HP KA-T and you wanted to use first gear from a stoplight. If you want more tire smoke you will need more torque...and the 4.3 gearing the CA18DET came with in S13 silvias delivers more torque in lower gears than the 4.09 or 3.96 (USDM S-chassis or J30 respectively). Trust me...the lower the gearing...the more it's just a highway cruiser...not a drifter.Hillkill wrote:Had a 4.11 in the s12 the ca18det was in.
