First post here, and I have a question. How do I disable the dash light for the pressure sensors on my G35? Is there a module that I can disconnect, or is it part of the body control module? Using winter tires without transmitters...

TIAJohn

Not sure exactly on the coupe but on the 07+ sedan it is at your feet. Just left side of the steering column. Check your car if you can see it. Here is a picture how it looks like.

Also you get the old option to put a little tape over the light so you won't see that. I personally would not go with it. It is like fixing a leak with duct tape. It works but sure it isn't pretty.

Hey there Welcome to Nico !

There really isn't a way to disable the TPMS system as it is indeed controlled through the BCM. If you are planning on keeping your car for several seasons I would say get another set of tire sensors. You can usually find them online for a pretty decent price. As IMO the TPMS system plays a more important in winter as thermal variation is significantly more pronounced in the winter.

If having the tires programmed is going to be an issue (many dealers may try to charge for this service, if it is not performed at a dealer, sorry it's just how they are) call a Nissan dealer they have access to the same tools that are needed for reset the monitors.

Hey zozo,

What did disconnecting that connector do for you? Is that the box that makes that annoying noise? It looks like it but haven't seen and harness issues that would require testing the sounding circuit. I'm pretty curious, I only see one there.

The white conector(hanging). That goes up to the dash light. So basically you disconecting the wire to the dash for the tpms.

Also there is another solution but I never tried it. But the website says you don't have to reprogram the tpms either.

Well, it looks like the tire pressure system is integrated within the remote start receiver, so disabling the receiver is not an option. The dash uses what appears to be an LED...looks as though the black tape is the short answer to getting thru the season.

I can say the high performance tires and 18 in. wheels that were the option with my coupe won't ever make it back on the car. Far as I'm concerned, they're history. I went with 16 in. wheels and tires - all season tires - and the car now drives and handles in the snow beautifully. Up until the changeover, I would get stuck in my driveway when there was even a hint of snow or ice.
