So the other day after charging a dry system w/ R-134 (I'm assuming it was dry, because when I put on the R-134 conversion on the low side, I barely got a 'pfft') I was driving around in some fierce heat (90+, its a black car), when a turrible (read in your head as though Cleveland Brown was saying it for added effect) amount of steam came out from under the hood; I looked and saw that everything was flowing from the pressure relief valve.
Are these a one-time-use kind of thing; do I need one that will handle higher pressure (I'm cautious to do this because I'm not sure what the OEM piping can handle), should I just get a few more cans of R-134 and recharge, to a lower pressure? I used one of the DIY kits, and filled it to the higher end of the "green" pressure zone.
Thanks for any input guys.
