Hey everyone! I'm looking at buying a 2000 q45. I drove out to see it yesterday and everything was in very good condition. No rust and code reader didn't find any codes. The only hold up is that the lights for the ABS were on. The owner said it is because of a busted abs sensor that happened while doing the suspension install. He currently has a s14 swapped suspension with s14 abs knuckles. My question is if I were to replace the sensor, would it be a q45 replacement or one for an s14? I've tried to find the answer but can't. Thanks in advance!

I have not ever heard of a S14 suspension swap on a Q45. I have been around the 2nd Gen Q's since 2000 and I have seen nearly every setup and had stock, lowering springs/KYB SR Specials and then finally Coil Overs. I have never EVER heard anybody say a S14 suspension swap.

I would say, walk away from this car as quickly as possible and consider something different. Maybe someone else will chime in and say that they know about this, but this sounds very fishy to me. What is the asking price on the car, BTW??? I would say if the car was $2500 or $3500 then who cares, it is disposable, but this sound very odd to me.

Hey BadQ45t - From my reading, it seems a lot of s-chassis suspension bits swap over and with some creativity and fabrication a s14 heavy swap is possible - check this out: http://www.stancenation.com/2014/03/09/ ... t-y33-q45/

If you can wrench that much god bless you.....that car is a very cool looking thing that I am not sure what it would do in the real world. For my 2 cents, get some BC Coilovers and call it a day. They are more stiff then would ever need and you can slam it as low as you want.
