preperations for a turbo

I was wondering what i should to my motor so it runs good when i turbo it. I have a ka24de with 133k and it feels pretty healty (just replaced clutch). I was thinking of getting it ported and polished, would that be a good idea. Also is there anything else i should maybe look into.

P.S i was also wondering what is a good turbo to run on the ka24de???

I think the major issue with KA is the pisont ring lands.. So if you are going to take the motor apart might want to start there. Get a beefy headgasket too. And make sure your timing chain is in good shape.
