A question....

I know it is recommended that we use premium gas in our EX's.

I live on the East coast where premium is 93 Octane.

However, in California, and in the Rockies and some other areas, premium has a 91 Octane rating. 91 here is mid-grade.

Does this mean on the east coast what Infiniti actually recommend is 91 mid-grade? After all, its the same stuff they're putting in in CA.

Just a thought.

It looks to me, you can run ANYTHING you want !

just make you get the gas cap back on really tight. We didn't and the service engine light came on. Now I know why it almost took a crowbar to remove the gas cap the first time.

Well here I am. Been using regular in my G 35 from day one & in my 92 Lexus ES300 5 speed for the 14 years that I owned it prior to my purchase of my 06 G35.Never had any problems in the 2 1/2 years and 61k miles on my G.I drive 2k miles a month mostly highway. I have never heard a ping.
