I took the sub out of the box and took it to my V to do a preliminary fit test (As I don't have the rest of the stereo yet) and it fits perfectly... not just under the passenger seat, but the driver's seat as well!
Because of this, it also looks like you might be able to install one under each seat for a little more thump, still without taking up any space.
I installed Aura bass shakers in each of my front seats. It took about 30 minutes including amp installation, although I already had cables running to my other amp. The bass shakers are also called transducers. They are essentially subwoofers without a cone. Bass in a nutshell, what you hear is not actually what you hear. Your eardrums cannot hear 60hz. You actually hear the vibration of your body. Therefore, if you can vibrate your body, you will hear bass. Since you aren't moving air, you do not need a lot of power. These bass shakers need about 50 watts each, and it can be "dirty" power, any amp with a low pass cross over will do. They are really popular in home theater and amusement parks, you mount them in chairs, sofas etc...What you really get is the sound of a subwoofer in your trunk without the annoying noise outside the car or the rattle of your trunk. I have them in both my vehicles and my sofas and recliner. (Great for video games and sci-fi/action movies). They take up virtually no space, since they are in your seats or mounted to the bottoms of the seats. They are getting harder to find, since the aura company went out of business a few years ago, but if you can get them, I highly recommend them, they are very versatile.
