doing a KA24DET build. Bought one for my 90 240sx. It is from a 91 with 150k miles but got it for $100 and its been sitting for a year. I have been doing some searching on what rods and Pistons to use. Thinking of going to 300hp and it is going to be my daily driver. I have have decided on going with the crower rods. However I'm not sure which Pistons to go with. I think JE is the best to my knowledge but I can probably go for cheaper maybe supertech, Arias, or cp? I am curious to what u guys recommend? Did some searching and most of what I found seemed pretty old and I know there are newer pistons out there.

just check out KA-T .. go to the rides section or whatever and check them out.. if your looking for 300rwhp, id use the Arias or JE, just my opinion.

I had Ross pistons in my other engine, and they were very nice as well.

I dont think the differences between the aftermarket pistons are really that huge. Pick whichever one gives you the CR and options you want...

ive had good experiance with Arias in the past but they are local to me so thats why I chose them, I just went down and picked them up. All the major companies seem to be fine from what ive seen from other members.

I bought Wiseco They are by far the best pistons for building a engine.. That is expected of great power. The pistons I think are a little more off the shelf price. I chose them becuase of their rep and also cause they have some options that you have to pay for on other pistons. But thats my thought on it. Im sure every one has diffrent ideas.. IM running Wesico pistons on top of crower rods.. Sorry if i misspelled Wesico but i dont feel looking up the name... but thats close enough..

ive always understood that the main competition were between ross and wiesco. wiesco has a log history of making pistons for dirtbikes and crotch rockets... which take a lot of abuse. ross are used in a lot of muscle cars i believe.
