Has anyone used a precut tint kit on their altima coupe? would you recommend it? How hard was the install?

What percentage did yall use? Is it hard to see out?

I'm gonna say just have it done somewhere because personally after watching my tint get done i feel like i might have messed it up if i tried to do it myself. I have 15% all around (except front windshield) and i think its perfect, its dark enough but you can still see out of it. Also if you have that big of a problem seeing just roll down your windows

do it yourself tint is hard if you dont know what your doing. might as well spend the extra money to have someone do it for you so that it would last...

I just put up 15% solar tinting on my bedroom window to block the glare from the sun and it was a royal pain in the *** to do. Keep in mind this was a square vertical window so if I had to do something like this to a curved car window I would have had an aneurism

I know I just suck at putting up tint, but it took incredibly longer than I thought to get all the bubbles out (every time I fixed one, I got another). If you do it yourself, make sure you do the best cleaning job of your life on the windows before hand because if there is one tiny piece of dirt on there you will definitely see it after the tint is done..

Also some sort of plastic ruler or bendable edge to smooth the tint is a must.

All in all I would definitely recommend getting the tint done in a shop - I got my A/C's tint done professionally and while it didn't look so great the next day, it looked perfect after a few more days drying time once that dimpled section on the back window cleared up.

I purchased a set of the pre-cut tint kit. The parts were cut perfectly for my car & the on-line video's & instructions were great.

...however I am a perfectionist. Although the tint was cut exactly for the windows in the car I managed to trap dust between the tint & windows. I tried doing this myself. If I had a helper I'm sure the job would have went smoother. I did an impeccable job of cleaning, but I do not have a garage to work in & the day I did my install it was windy ... So in the end after doing the all windows & trying to live with the tiny trapped dust I just ended up removing the tint.

My advice to you is follow the instructions carefully & clean the windows very well. When you are done cleaning them ... clean it again, double check & clean again.

Good luck.

Thanks for the question and answers. Was thinking about doing it myself, but am leaning more towards professional install now. Anyone know about how much it should cost for all windows but the windshield? Does the price depend on tint level or color?

I wouldnt pay more than 200 for the highest end tint. I have the suntek carbon film, it has no metal and is supposedly "better" keeping out more heat and blahblah, but ya i wouldnt pay more than 200 for the best of films.
