I just put up 15% solar tinting on my bedroom window to block the glare from the sun and it was a royal pain in the *** to do. Keep in mind this was a square vertical window so if I had to do something like this to a curved car window I would have had an aneurism
I know I just suck at putting up tint, but it took incredibly longer than I thought to get all the bubbles out (every time I fixed one, I got another). If you do it yourself, make sure you do the best cleaning job of your life on the windows before hand because if there is one tiny piece of dirt on there you will definitely see it after the tint is done..
Also some sort of plastic ruler or bendable edge to smooth the tint is a must.
All in all I would definitely recommend getting the tint done in a shop - I got my A/C's tint done professionally and while it didn't look so great the next day, it looked perfect after a few more days drying time once that dimpled section on the back window cleared up.
