Ive recently been looking at the precision turbo line and i really like the quality and performance of the turbos. I was wondering what precision turbo would be a good match for the RB20. Im lookin for 400whp and something not too laggy. I was lookin at the SC61 or the SC50 or something along those lines. Any input is appreciated.

I daily drive a 200rwhp rb. I just want something that will be very streetable but can handle whatever i come across on the street. Ive also heard the td06 20g is a good match

The australians have nothing but good things to say about the td06-20g. The problem is that you either need and adapter or a new manifold to run one. We already have a t3 flange twin scroll mani stock, so it would be easiest to run a t3 hotside turbo.

Gt28RS's have hit 400rwhp at the absolute maximum.

300rwhp will handle 99% of whatever it comes across, 400rwhp is excessive, less reliable, and a lot more expensive.

Yea so just stick around 300rwhp. My goal is between 300 - 350 with a gt2535. But if I get it between there i will be happy too.

Ok well you guys have convinced me. I wanted 400rwhp but i guess thats a little extreme for a daily. I just raced an srt8 charger on the interstate and almost had him with everything stock except the basics such as fmic and exhaust and it just kinda made me think if i would have a had a little better turbo then i could have embarrased the **** out of that guy. What turbo could i run that would put me close to 350 at the wheels and still be streetable. My original plan was the gt3071r.

you can get smaller trim sc61; why not look at the standard t3/04e; or a gt30 if you have the budget for one. it's a long list of off the shelf turbo that will fit your power goal.

well my original plan was the gt30r with a .63 a/r so it would spool rather quickly. I guess i'll just get that. That way i can easily make 300 and still go to 400 if i want.

My next turbo will be something similar to the Precision 6776E. The guy that's doing my machining runs a big Precision turbo and seems to do well with it. Of course I'm not really concerned about lag.
