I ordered a fog light kit from eBay and it came with a h8 bulb but I know my car is pre wired for h11 bulb I think would it still work or do I need to get. New bulb for the fog light? I'm getting the combination switch so I'm not using the switch that came with the fog lights.

H11 only refers to the size of the bulb that would have been OEM. You'll be fine. I'm running H8 too.

But would the h8 work with the h11 present wired already in the car cause I got the combination column instead of using the switch that came with the fog light. And where did you get your 12 custom enclosed from?

Yeah it'll work, the H8 only refers to bulb size and is specific to the actual lights you bought. The oem switch and pre-wired side is just delivering 12volts DC to those wires down in the bumper.

I made the sub enclosure myself in a thread called "boom boom."

You really need to take the bumper off which isn't hard.

If you look at the how to's about the altima there's a guide on front bumper removal. Or just google altima coupe front bumper removal and find the nico thread. I followed it and it was so easy.

I would personally get the LED because I'd be afraid of burning up the fog light housings. But LEDs won't give you hardly any light output. The HIDs will really light up the road. I'm looking into converting right now to HID.

Honestly with the 35watt kit I'm assuming chances are low. If you just check out the foglight housings you bought you can kinda see what materials are going to be directly surrounding the bulbs and give your best guess.

Mine have a cast magnesium projector housing that's pretty cheap but can definitely handle some heat. Some kits have pretty cheap chromed plastic reflectors that are known to melt or degrade over time.

I dont know how it is for the 08-09 coupes, but for my model I didnt need to remove the bumper. I just popped out the fog light cover and installed it from behind.

Wow I had zero chance of doing that with my kit. Then again I used an 08 kit on my 2011 and had to fab some mounts lol
