I've been looking for a Q50 for to replace my wife's current car. I've come across a few that fit the criteria I'm looking at and one of them is priced lower than the others due to having 80k miles. This particular one, asside from teh mileage, seems to be in good condition and well taken care of, and it has a clean car fax (1 owner, non smoker, no accidents).... So this takes me to a couple of questions for owners/enthusiasts. What is the highest mileage Q50 you would concider purchasing? Is there anything to watch out for when looking at used Q50's?

Thanks.

The VQ drive train is solid in the '14-15 Q50. I had 153k on my 2k2 Maxima with the 3.5, 125k on my '07 G35s with the 3.5HR, 87k on my '08 G37s with the 3.7VHR, and currently over 50k in my Q50 with the 3.7VHR, all part of the VQ family of motors. As long as you maintain the vehicle they are good for high miles (200-300k and more).

To answer your question, it depends. If you keep a car for a long time and also put a large number of miles on it then 80k may be high for you. I usually want a vehicle with a warranty if I am using it for constant long distance driving. If you simply use it for day to day travel with average mileage then 80k is not a issue and you should be fine for many years. If you rotate vehicles every 2 years or so then, again, 80k should be no problem at all.
