Hi, I am finishing up replacing the timing chains in an '08 M35 with the VQ35(DE) 3.5 V6 engine, it required taking off the oil pan hence draining out the oiling system, I need to know how to refill the oiling system before I fire it for the first time.

Can I inject oil through the oil pressure sending unit hole? A lot like for the GM LS engines. If that's not it, can someone tell me how?

All help is greatly appreciated.

You can use the sender hole, and fill the filter with oil. The most important thing with VQ's is not to let the engine fire until oil pressure builds up, otherwise there's about a 50-50 chance one of the chains (usually the bank1 cam chain) will jump. Yank the fuel pump fuse and crank dry for about 30 seconds before you let it start.
