I just installed some coilovers on my car and going to take it to get it aligned. My question is should I set my camber as positive as I can with the camber plates. From my understanding when they adjust camber they will not mess with the camber plates so what Iam thinking is if they align it they will set it right without touching the camber plates and that gives me even more adjustablity for neg camber. Any suggestions?!

unless your alignment shop is brain damaged they will adjust your front camber with the plates.

Considering you can't adjust your camber without the plates or adjustable LCA's anyway...they'd HAVE to use them..

How do they adjust it in stock cars? I know they adjusted my stock 240's camber from negative something to the normal values of camber a few years back.

what? that makes no sense. you cant just stack washers on somthing to adjust camber. well, i suppose you could put washers on the actual top mount studs, but that is ghetto and dangerous, and ive never heard of anyone doing that. also, you cannot put a washer from an eccentric bolt onto a regular bolt. if you have an 89/90 it comes with a single eccentric bolt in the shock mount, if you have a 91-98 the camber is set from the factory and must be dealt with in other ways (redrilled shock bracket, camber plates, aftermarket eccentric bolts, etc)
