i have a 89 240sx and i tried to fix the power windows by replacing the relay box and the harness that connects to the relay box. But it stoped working recently. PIssing me off. When i push the button to move the window, the box would make a clicking sound. Could it be overvoltage? Maybe i needed to replace the controls too? But if that doesnt work, is it possible to convert my power windows to manual windows? Get the window rails from the junkyard then drill a hole on the door panel? How much would they run for? thanks.

junkyards seem to vary from place to place in price.

sounds like a power window motor and regulator. Check the condition of these compnents. Sometimes you can just wash the grime out of the motor with some electrical connection cleaner.

hrmm..so it can't be some sort of short circuit? because when i push the button the motor doesnt even move or make a sound like its stuck.

ths happened on my old car. Try replacing the switches. (my passenger side switch was bad and it was causing a problem with the controls on both sides.
