A friend called me about his 1997 Sentra 1.6L. He said it just died in the drive through and it wouldn't start after that. Well I did some wiring searching and everything seemed fine so I went to my work and borrowed a code reader (I love being a manager.) and checked the codes on it. Well it brought up code P1550 which comes back as a Manafactures Specific Powertrain Trouble Code. I had that code pop up on my '95 200 right before the motor decided to blow up on me. So my million dollar question is, what causes the computer to bring up that code?

But car should still run. Sounds like something else is going on instead and that code is just stored on the ECU.
