Powersteering woes

I tried to search but couldnt find much.I've been having powersteering issues for a couple of weeks now. I originally had a leak in two spots, the line that feeds the pump and on the hard return line that runs across the engine crossmember. I fixed the hose a about two weeks ago then two days after that i saw it was still leaking because the hard line leak got worse. So i temp fixed it by taking 4 hose clamps and a peice of hose and clamped the hose over the leaking spot. Well everything had leaked out when that happened too, so I filled it back up, later that day it made a noise like the pump was going bad. The noise got progressively worse. Today i put in a new pump, and replaced the bad hard line, so it doesnt leak anymore, however the noise is still there. I tried bleeding the system by running the return in to a bottle and filling the resivoir, but its still noisy. I took it out for a test drive and it doesnt make any noise at full lock and straight, all other positions whine, it also has a lil "rattle" at idle.
