so i started my own thread becaue people were getting mad cause i was thread jacking so my question is...can you use sohc ps on rb20 as dsm stated..

No, the power steering pump on the RB20 is on the driver's side. You need the KA24DE+ Powersteering lines.

*Edit* Of course you can use the regular SOHC lines, but why ghett-fab when you can do it right for a few bucks? If you have the money to do the RB swap, spend a little and get all the right lines and reservoir. Pull-a-Part places around here charge about $30 for the whole power steering set-up from any 91+ 240sx.

YES, you can use th SOHC line. I have done it and it works fine. The owner of the car drives it everyday. Ask rb240det if you don't want to take my word. You will need the rb pump or I believe you can use an older maxima pump, but I'm not sure which year.

You remove all of the brackets that hold the line in place. Then you simply rework the bends in the hard line(it doesn't take much modification), but you need to be gentle and try to use a bender. I have done it twice with a bender, and once by hand. A DE reservoir works better but I wouldn't say its necessary. If you have anymore questions just ask.

My 7 bolt has zero crank walk thankyou... and I don't own a 20, I just work on/install them often.
