This is on a 98 with the KA24DE. After every hard driving or track event, my powersteering fluid is boiling, could the header be the cause of this, not having a heat shield? I do have the dual altima fans, and another thing that's strange is every time I press the gas pedal, my temperature gauge goes down (almost to Cold) and then when I release it it goes back to normal. What gives? I'll install a temp gauge for peace of mind, but I'm wondering why that is. In case this can be of use, the car has a cold intake with Apexi filter, header, exhaust, cams, Fidanza flywheel, 1piece driveshaft, OR pulleys, 4.6 hlsd...

Thanks, didn't find anything using the big flashing red button.

That's just a typically problem w/ our cars, hahaha. Nothing wrong you did.

One of my friends got a universal power steering cooler to help out, works to a point.

You can actually use a power steering cooling loop to replace the one that came in the s13/s14's from a g35/350z or the nismo one should you feel up to it. You can use an adapter fitting at the rack to a barb (didn't really see a need for stainless, just costs a ton of cash) and use that to run a line to the front where the new cooling loop will be located. attach the new lines to the cooling loop from the g/z and run the other end of the line up to the reservoir.

This is not a replacement for your high pressure line, but for the long cooling loop that runs along your engine crossmember.

Thanks a lot for the replies. Good to know it's normal and that I can still fix it. Thanks for the tips.
