Be careful not to use one of the "flashy" templates, as you don't want yours to look like everyone elses (assuming it's an assignment).

I always think substance wins over flash.

Yeah, I'm a junior, and the rest of the kids in there are freshman or sophomores who know nothing about powerpoint, or how to make (or know about) a background in photoshop, so I think my presentation will/be look the best.

Sounds like you have a good plan, hope you didn't mind my suggestion.

Also, keep in mind if you're going to be running your PP on another system, that it isn't too graphic loaded and thus doesn't "present" well. I've seen it happen .

Yeah, I have all of these cool fonts that i would like to use that I think would enhance my presentation, but then I have to install them and do all of this other crap, so I'm just going to use the fonts on the schools comps when it comes time to present it.

Can't you embed fonts in a powerpoint presentation?I've never spent much time messing with it, but it seems like you should be able to, as you can do that with a lowly MSWord file.
