Powered subwoofers

Anybody out there has ever tryed a powered subwoofer for example the Infinity Basslink Im looking for something to go in a J-30 and still using the Bose system .

I have a boss self powered sub (came stock) on my Audi

Those type of subs are expensive, not very powerful nor do they produce a lot of base.
