Powered antenna for S14 - stop working

Why is it that when I turned On/Off radio, antenna stays up?what is wrong with it, is motor out already.My car is more than 142K milesplease advise. thanks.

can you hear the motor running in the antenna when you turn radio on/off?

My 98 S14's power antenna is broken too, but I CAN hear the motor running down when I stop the car (after I've been listening to the radio).

I recieved a complete power antenna replacement kit (some aftermarket brand) when I bought the car, from the original owner. It looks like more parts than I really need though, and I don't want to change out the whole assembly if I really only need to repair something small.

Any ideas?

if you got the full thing, might as well change it out in one swoop. Not too bad a job instead of having to use a few parts here and there if it's all one piece.

now, Motor is making noise like, hmmmm,....hmmmm,hmmmm,,,,

what do I need to check? please advise. thanks...

is the mast stuck? I'd prob just replace the entire antenna assembly. They're cheap anyway.
