I've always recommended spending some extra time and effort finding another location. Running the main power wire (high voltage & "noisy") that close to the ECU harnessa nd module, can create problems in the future. And if you're running any kind of aftermarket mods that make the "correct operation" of your ECU more critical, you could be putting yourself at a greater risk.

The interference isn't a given, but think about the engine whine you get if your power wire and RCA's are run down the same side of the car?

There may be some type of "shielding" you can prchase, but keep in mind you can even get engine whine when using high end shielded RCA cables.

There is a plug at the base of the blower motor box (under the glove box). Appears to be just a "mount" to support the bottom of the box, pops out and there is a lot of room there.

Be sure to seal it up after running your wire - best bet is to replace the plug (with a chunk cut out for the wire.

Where the cable for the hood popper goes through the firewall on the driver side under the dash there is a hole with a rubber boot around it, cut a slit big enough for the 4 gauge wire to go through and it will slide right in.

the only way to truely shield it is to put the wire thru a copper tube that runs the length of the wire. Since this is completely impractical, although some people have laid copper pipe thru their entire car, it is not recommended. Finding a good place in the firewall and drilling it out is still the best way. DONT FORGET TO USE A RUBBER GROMMET!!!

And even if you relocate to the rear, you still have to run the cable back to it.

I ran mine (4 Ga monster power) on the driver's side. I drilled a fresh hole right next to the brake master cylinder area. Was harder then I thought it would be, but it turned out well. Now that I know about the pass. side area, I'd do that one!!

Anybody who drills a new hole should use a snap grommet that snuggly fits in the hole and allow the wire to be snug as well, then I'd recommend silicone to seal the hole from water or moisture
