so i was just rolling up my window and i get to the top and it falls down. It seems that the cable is all twisted up and may have snapped. I can't seem to figure out how to get the mechanism out of the door so I can look closer and try to fix it. I have the fsm, but its in .pdf format and impossible to navigate. Anyone know how to do this? Or know how much a dealer would charge to fix it? This is just great...****ing power windows.

you gotta take the inside panel off of the door. There are 2 screws, one sorta near the mirror, and the other is inside the little door pocket near the window controls and stuff. After that just pop off the stupid little plastic tabs all the way around and you'll see whats up from there on. Its really not that complicated...

I know how to get the door panel off, but inside that is the inside structure of the door. There are some access holes, but none big enough or in the right place to actually do anything. The cable definitely snapped. I really don't want to have to pay someone to get it out just to replace the cable...The window is temporarily propped up for now, we'll see what I can do.

I had to fix a power window on a van this summer at work and man did it suck. It took me and another guy about an hour to do it. It took forever to get everything lined up and working correctly. Good luck with the window though.
