Het guys I need some help , got a 2001 pathfinder and all the power windows stopped working. I first thought it was the fuse the power window fuse is good then thought it was the master switch in the driver door so went to the wreckers and got another but no luck they still don't work. The power door button on the master works but none of the windows can be rolled down by any switch. Any ideas where else to look? Need the help, Thanks

Frank

There might be a fusible link under the hood did you check that fuse as well?

Might be the power window relay, which I believe is on the interior fuse box..

But, go to page 268 for the troubleshooting guide...

I'll have to check that but I thought the only two fuse boxes in the truck where under the hood. Where would the interior one be located.

Open that coin tray to the left of the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash, and then continue pulling. The fuses are behind it.

I'd try swapping that fuse with another with the same rating. Sometimes they can look fine but not function right. You should have another 40A fuse (fuseable link?) right next to it.

My wife owns a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder and the windows would work but every once in a while my wife would complain about the windows not working from the drivers side switches, I verified the problem, turn out the power window switch contacts needed to be cleaned, I took the switch assy. off and just went ahead and slide all 4 switches back and forth several times, and that took care of it, windows worked fine but every 3-4 months I have to repeat the procedure, so far it has cured the problem 100% of the time, the switches are not moved but maybe 1/8" when you roll the windows up or down, with time they start loosing contact, by moving them by hand from one side to the other, they start to make contact again, this is a good indication that the switched used by Nissan are not of very high quality, you can probably get a new assy. for $20-30 but for me this has worked and it only takes a few minutes.

Thanks for the info guys but no luck, i got another assembly out of the wreckers and again same thing the power locks work, but none of the power windows work, i checked the fuses in the two fuse boxes under the hood and the one under the the dash everything seems fine, i did notice three blue relays on top of the fuse box under the dash could it be one of them? Im clean out of ideas why its not working. One other thing that i notice which may or not be related the rear defrost also doesn't work and fuses they are fine, not sure if it could be related but figured id mention it in case it could be. Any more advice is greatly appreciated its driving me crazy!

One of those is the power window relay, which I suggested could be the issue, I posted it a few weeks ago, guess you didn't see it. LOL

Actually did see it but I thought the power windows relay was under the hood with the rest them plus it was marked power window relay. :) either way problem sovled. Found a 7.5 fuse blown marked IGN 7.5 Elec Ing it is the third one down on the left under the consel. Replaced it and the dam windows and rear defrost started working. I was so focused on looking at the ones that refers to power windows under the hood over looked this one.
