95 240sx/se, manualMy driver's side locks don't work, passenger is fine. neither windows work at all, sometimes they work, but is entermittent, and mostly don't work at all. I'm hoping that both windows not working is just a fuse, but I don't know which one to check, there is no power window fuse in the car or engine bay. there is another post where someone has a problem with thier window, but I'm not as mechanically proficient. Not sure at all about the locks. can anyone help?

it sounds like it might be your main switch, the switch panel on the drivers door, that controls, door locks, windows. if you have a friend that has a s14 try his if not try one from a junk yard.

its a simple procedure, use a multimeter with it set to volts D/C to check your switch see if you have power comming into the switch with the key on.hit the power window button and see if you have power coming out,if you have power comming out after hitting the window switch then your switch is fine, to check the motor unplug the window motor from the harness and run a jumper wire from a battery (you can use the one in your car if you dont have an extra just make sure you disconnect it) there are two wires coming out of the motor one makes the window go up and one makes it go down if the window goes up and down then then the motor is fine.if both the switch and the motor works then you have a problem in the harness between the switch and the motor while you are there you might as well clean the tracks with brake clean and relube the tracks with a silcon based lube i use todco door lube which you can get from a 18 wheeler trailer supply store just look under trailers in the phone book.as long as its silicon based it doesnt mater who the mfg is.if you use greese it will collect dust over time and cause your windows to stick and bind up. but like the other guy said it sounds like your main switch.i hope this helps p.s dont use used parts buy new it will save you in the long run

damn, thanks for the info man! acually, I got it to work, I took the door panel off to see if anything was burned or something (shorted) and when I did that, I tried the windows and locks and they both worked! I didn't really do anything! they stopped one other time on me, and I tapped the door a couple of times, and no problem since.
