Power Window Troubles
I have a '91 240sx hatch and I've been having problems with the driver side power window. It has been working on and off for some time now. I recently replaced the motor, thinking that that might be the problem. That still did not help. I tried jumping two connections with a paper clip on the connector end and the window started working again, so I assumed that it was the switch on the door. It was acting fine up until yesterday when it went down and stayed down. Nothing was helping it this time. Now when I press the window up switch my tachometer jumps *sigh*. Does anybody have any suggestions? I would really like to get my window back up. :-)
i had a problem with my power window too. 89 240 Hatch. Mine wouldnt roll down so i started fooling around with it and when i would hit the relay box on the door that the window switch is plugged into, it would start working. Later i figured out i diddnt have to bang the door everytime I wanted to roll the window down. All I had to do was roll it up first, even if its already up. Just press it up then it would roll down. Don't know if this helps but I thought id share my 2 cents
I'm having the same problem. We have a '95 240sx se and a few months ago the pssngr. side window quit working. Just a cpl of wks ago it started working again. The driver's side window just went out yesterday now. Originally it would work just fine with the exception of occaisionally having to work the switch up and down to get it to work. Also, sometimes it would just go down all on its own. Took the door apart and found the amp assembly switch and thought it might be that, but having read another post on this forum might discount that all together. Anyway, would love any help or suggestions on how to get both windows working again. Btw, ka240sxDrift, I also thought about jumping the connections with a paper clip but don't want to risk shorting out the harness, could you let me know which connections you jumped so that I might be able to at least get the window back up?
