Power Window Trouble

I had trouble with my passenger power window on my '89 240sx. Took it to the mechanic to have the window blocked in the UP position because we didn't have the money for a new regulator. Now, a few years later, I have a replacement regulator. I need to have the blocked window in the DOWN position in order to take out the old regulator, but I have no idea how to unblock it and get the window down.

Any suggestions?

I'm not too familiar with having the window blocked one way or the other. Hopefully someone will chime in and help you out.
