Power Window Stopped Working

I have a 1993 Nissan 240SX fastback, completely stock. Recently the driver's power window went out. I can open the passenger driver window from the driver's switch, so that component seems to be functional. When I try to open the driver's window, I just hear a click, but it does not move.

I have the door panels off, and I took off the harness, and there's really no dirt in there, its pretty clean. I was wondering if something shorted out. I saw an article before that said you had to solder a single connection in the window amp, but that was for an S14, I can't find any relevant information for the S13.

Thanks very much, I'd like to deal with this problem as soon as possible, since I don't want to take the panels off again.

are you getting switched power and ground at the motor?

I ony read this part of your question. the article on the amp repair is applicable to 91-95. most s14's dont have an amp.

Do you hear anything trying to move? My cable came lose and knotted up. Window did not move at all. I didnt know this till i took the windo motor out.

I had the same problem with my 91's driver's door window. I went to the junk yard and pulled a replacement amp. Has worked fine ever since. I think it cost me about 20 bucks, has been awhile since I got it.

Is that box protruding from the plastic in the door panel the window amp? This is on the opposite side of the speaker, slightly higher. (Driver's door only). If yes, what should I do when I take it off? What should I look for?

To answer the above questions, no I hear no buzzing or struggling from a motor, I hear a click, and nothing happens.
