None of my windows work. When the car is on, I get a click every eight seconds on the breaker and a buzz somewhere in the engine bay, sort of near the transmission (I don't have a lift, and I can't quite tell where it's coming from). Any ideas? Could it be my ignition switch?

Sounds to me like a faulty relay.

Check your fuses, then check your relays.

I have power @ the fuse, and the main switch. Every eight seconds, I hear a click under the dash (it's the circuit breaker - it stopped when I pulled it), plus a buzz in the engine bay area. The buzz happens right before the click. I haven't been able to track down where exactly the buzz is coming from, but I'm going to take it to a mechanic if I can't figure it out soon. The car's for sale.

Oddly enough, it has fun flawlessly for its entire 99,000-mile life, and he day after I posted it on cars.com, this crap happens. I guess the odds of Murphy's Law happening have been stacking up against me for a while.

There is a good chance one of your window switches is stuck. It may not be stuck mechanically, but it still could be electrically.

I want you to try this :

Hold the window "down" buttons one at a time while you turn the car on. Do this with the quarter windows as well. If you get the same problem, then I suggest you get a repair book with the electrical schematic in it. It is possible that there is another device on the same circuit as the power windows as well.

Since there was no help for me on this topic i had taken the time to fix my problem. If you have this problem you have a short somewhere. My short was under the drivers seat where the wire harness was near the seat rail, Got to close and wore through the white and black wire. Repaired and relocated the wire harness so i wont have that problem next time.

So all in all thanks for the help

haha, yea mine was the same problem. just a a open circuit, the blinking every 8 sec is from the circuit breaker trying to reset itself. mine was located under the center consel. melted wires
